Using Propel
These terms cover Propel Africa, operated by PROPEL AFRICA TECHNOLOGIES Ltd, Kigali, Rwanda. The beta is free. You can browse startup and investor profiles and recorded funding activity. Approved accounts can save profiles and request permission to manage an organisation’s profile. Updates may be reviewed before publication.

Accounts and profile access
Give accurate account information, keep sign-in details private and tell us about suspected unauthorised access. Invitations are for their named recipient. Do not impersonate someone or claim authority to represent an organisation without permission.
We may ask for reasonable evidence before granting profile access. Approval is permission to manage a profile; it is not ownership of the organisation, a guarantee of every fact on the page or an endorsement of its investment prospects. We may review or withdraw access if authority changes or is disputed.
Information, not investment advice
Records may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. Funding amounts and dates reflect reported information, not an independent audit. Check sources and verify important details before relying on them.
Propel does not provide investment, financial or legal advice or arrange investments through this beta. A listing is not a recommendation or an offer to invest. You are responsible for your decisions and any professional advice you need.
Information you submit
Submit information you reasonably believe is accurate and are entitled to share. Do not submit confidential material, unnecessary personal details, unlawful content or protected work without permission.
You retain your rights in submissions. You give us non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, review, format and publish them as needed to operate and maintain Propel, including through providers working for us. This does not transfer ownership or permit unrelated use of your material.
We may correct, decline or remove submissions and request supporting sources. Contact us about corrections, rights concerns or removal. Account closure does not automatically remove independently sourced company information; personal-information requests follow our Privacy Notice and applicable law.
Fair use
You may browse for personal or business research, share links and make quotations permitted by law. Company names, logos and third-party material remain subject to their owners’ rights.
Do not bypass access controls, disrupt the service, misuse personal information or submit deceptive content. Bulk copying, resale, model-training use or systematic extraction requires our written permission unless the law permits it. This does not restrict your legal rights in public facts or lawful quotation.
Availability and closing your account
Beta features and availability may change. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or complete coverage. We may suspend access for misuse, security concerns or legal requirements and, where practical, explain the reason and provide a way to raise a concern.
You can deactivate your account in Settings. For personal-data erasure, contact us. This beta does not enrol you in a paid subscription.
Responsibility and changes
We take reasonable care in operating Propel but do not guarantee that every record is accurate or suitable for your purpose. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or removes your mandatory rights.
Rwandan law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. Please contact us about a concern so we can try to resolve it. You remain free to exercise legal rights or contact a regulator.
We will date updates and bring material account-related changes to members’ attention before they take effect where practical. Questions can be sent to privacy@propel.africa.
