Yakeey, a Moroccan property platform, has raised a $15 million Series A from a consortium of Enza Capital, IFC, Beltone Venture Capital and CDG Invest, Launchbase Africa reported on 27 January. Enza Capital and Beltone Venture Capital co-led the round, and the outlet describes it as the largest Series A in Morocco's history.

Who is backing it

Enza Capital is a pan-African venture firm. IFC, the private-sector arm of the World Bank, is making its first venture investment in Morocco. Beltone Venture Capital is an Egyptian venture firm, and CDG Invest is Morocco's state-backed venture arm.

What Yakeey does

Yakeey runs what it calls a managed marketplace for Moroccan property, linking buyers, sellers, notaries and banks. It uses AI and data-driven valuations to estimate prices. Human advisers, branded YakeeyPRO, visit properties in person to certify listings, and the company charges a success fee only when a deal closes. Yakeey operates in Morocco, with Casablanca and Tangier among the cities mentioned.

Traction and outlook

The platform has around 2,000 YakeeyPRO advisers. Chief executive Karim Beqqali, a real estate veteran, leads the company, which launched in 2023. He describes the Moroccan home-buying process as "long, complex, opaque, and stressful."
