Tibu Health has secured a financing facility from the French development finance institution Proparco, WeeTracker reported on 9 June. The facility was channelled through the Bridge Fund by Digital Africa (AFD). The amount was not disclosed.
What Tibu Health does
Jason Carmichael founded Tibu Health in 2020 to provide affordable, accessible primary healthcare to middle-income and underserved communities. It runs a hub-and-spoke model. Small Minute Clinics sit inside pharmacies and supermarkets and link to a central medical hub that offers diagnostics, specialist care, laboratory services and telemedicine.
Plans
The financing will help Tibu accelerate the rollout of its healthcare network across urban and peri-urban Kenya, where it focuses its work.
