Terra Industries has raised $18 million in new seed funding, bringing its total seed financing to $52 million. Daba Finance reported on 17 August that 8VC, which led the company's January round, joined the latest raise alongside existing investors Silent Ventures, Nova Global, Belief Capital and SV Angel, and new participant Norleo Space Investments.
What Terra builds
Terra develops self-operating systems for state agencies, armed forces and infrastructure operators. Its products include the Archer VTOL drone, the Iroko quadcopter, the Kallon sentry tower and the Kama interceptor drone. The company was founded in 2024 by Nathan Nwachuku, who is CEO, and Maxwell Maduka. It is Nigerian and runs a factory in Abuja.
Traction
Terra's systems reportedly protect about $11 billion in assets, including oil, mining and power infrastructure. It expects more than $100 million in contract bookings by the end of 2026 and reportedly expects revenue in the tens of millions this year. Lux Capital led a $22 million extension in February, after which the company was valued in the nine figures. The latest valuation was not disclosed.
Where the money goes
Part of the funding goes to Pax-2, a 34,000 square foot drone factory in Accra, Ghana, designed to reach 50,000 systems a year by 2028. The rest supports the Abuja factory and international expansion. Terra currently sells in Africa and plans sales in the Gulf, South America and South Asia, with a first international office in London.
