Tactful, the Egyptian agentic AI customer experience company, has raised $1 million in a Pre-Series A, Tech Africa News reported on 9 February. Foras AI and M Empire Angels co-led the round, which also drew in the angel investors Omar Gabr, Mohamed Samir and Ahmed Fakhry. Co-founders Mohamed Elmasry and Mohamed Hassan took part as well.
What Tactful does
The platform automates customer request resolution from start to finish while letting enterprises keep operational control, and it helps companies turn customer data into insights. Customers include Elaraby Group, Raneen, Lucky App, valU and Bosta. Elmasry is founder and chief executive. The founders bought back the company's management after Dstny of Europe acquired it in 2022.
Growth
Platform usage grew more than 100 times over the past 12 months. Elmasry said the company made "a conscious decision to prioritise depth over speed" over the past year. Tactful has previously invested $5 million in research and development.
Plans
Tactful will deepen its presence in Egypt, explore new markets in the wider EMEA region and advance research on agentic capabilities, scalability and integrations. It plans to double R&D spending over the next three years and is targeting a Series A within 12 months.
