Omnisient announced on 25 November that it has closed a $12.5 million Series A. TransUnion co-led the round.
What the company does
Omnisient offers a privacy-preserving platform that uses AI to help banks and insurers draw insights about consumers from alternative data. Its tools include privacy-safe data clean rooms for credit scoring and onboarding. The company was founded in South Africa in 2019 and is headquartered in the United Kingdom. Jon Jacobson is CEO and co-founder, and Anton Grutzmacher is co-founder.
Traction
Omnisient says its platform is deployed by top-tier banks and insurers in other international markets, including the Middle East, Brazil and Asia Pacific. It reports helping to score over 8 million previously unscorable consumers, of whom 3.2 million now qualify for credit based solely on alternative behavioural data.
What the money is for
TransUnion has had a strategic relationship with Omnisient since June 2025. The company says over 45 million Americans are credit-invisible or unscorable by traditional credit data. The funding will accelerate global expansion and scale the platform, with US expansion already underway. Jon Jacobson, chief executive and co-founder, said: "This is about helping U.S. lenders make better-informed risk decisions by leveraging alternative data."
