What Locstat does

The South African company offers a graph-powered AI and event-processing platform that analyses real-time and static data from multiple sources. It supports tasks such as fraud detection, customer journey mapping, rules engines and geospatial analytics. It was founded in 2016, and Ryno Goosen is co-founder and chief executive.

Where it is strongest

Locstat is currently strongest in African financial services, where it helps banks and fintechs with fraud, anti-money laundering and compliance. Locstat reports proven results both locally and across Africa.

Expansion plans

The company is expanding into Europe. The money will help build a European brand presence, revenue and partnerships, grow the South African team, deepen the partner ecosystem and keep investing in the platform.
