Knot Technologies has raised a $1 million pre-seed round led by A15, Wamda reported on 19 January. A15 was represented by Karim Beshara, its founder and managing partner. The company is emerging from stealth.

What Knot does

Knot is an online ticketing platform that is building an AI-driven ticketing and access control system. It is meant to curb fraud, give organisers better visibility into demand and limit ticket sales in unregulated resale markets. Co-founder and CEO Ahmed Abdalla said: "Ticketing has become a financial black hole".

Team and traction

Abdalla and co-founder and CTO Hussein ElBendak both previously worked at Meta, Goldman Sachs and Mubadala. The company was founded in 2025 in London and is described as Egypt- and UK-based. After an early rollout it has more than 50 enterprise customers.

Plans

Funds will go towards product development, international expansion and deeper integrations across the live events ecosystem. Its research covered Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
