Enakl, a Moroccan urban mobility startup, has raised a $2.3 million seed round, Wamda reported on 28 January. The round was finalised in December 2025. Azur Innovation Fund, WitaMax and mFounders led as new investors, while existing backers Catalyst Fund and Digital Africa (AFD) reinvested. It follows a $1.4 million round closed at the end of 2024.
What Enakl does
The company builds proprietary technology to design, deploy and manage flexible shared transport networks in real time. It targets congestion, access to transport and commute decarbonisation, with a focus on emerging markets. Samir Bennani and Charles Pommarède founded it, and Ahmed Omrane joined later.
Progress
The platform became fully operational after 18 months of research and development. In 2025 Enakl won its first pilot public contract, with the Casablanca-Settat Region.
Use of funds
The money will strengthen commercial teams, launch a first SaaS product for operators and large accounts, test new models for ridepooling fleets and speed up deployment. Adnane Filali, managing partner at Azur Innovation Fund, said: "Enakl addresses a structural challenge in mobility and fleet optimisation."
