Charikaty has raised a pre-seed round at a valuation of €3 million (MAD 32.6 million), Morocco World News reported on 10 September. The size of the round was not disclosed.
Dubai-based Red Tape Ventures invested, alongside Faris Al-Obaid, vice president and general manager of Mastercard Kuwait, Saudi footballer Faris Abdi of Al-Ittihad, and other undisclosed investors.

Based in Casablanca, Charikaty lets founders incorporate companies online, from SARL and SAS structures to foreign subsidiaries. It also handles statutory changes, domiciliation, accounting packs, trademark filing and dissolution. The company is led by co-founders Amr Mouaqit, its chief executive, and Driss Sijelmassi, its chief operating officer.
In September it launched Webaty, a website service that promises a first version within 72 hours. An accounting and compliance venture is due to follow, timed for Morocco's upcoming e-invoicing mandate.
Beyond incorporation
The funding will launch those two ventures, expand accounting and compliance services, and take the company into Egypt and the Gulf. "The ambition now is larger than the incorporation itself," Mouaqit said.
