Anda, an Angolan urban transport startup, has raised $1.2 million from BFA Asset Management (BFAAM), Disrupt Africa reported on 31 March. BFAAM, which describes itself as a private credit impact fund, invested through its Kimbo Fund. Anda raised a $3.4 million seed round in late 2025, co-led by Breega and Speedinvest.
A path to vehicle ownership
Anda aims to professionalise urban transport through an integrated mobility and logistics ecosystem. It offers asset financing to drivers of two-, three- and four-wheeled vehicles, plus training and support at what it calls safe stops. Under its model, drivers work towards owning their vehicles. Sergio Tati and Joerg Nuehrmann founded the company in 2022. It offers services nationwide in Angola.
The investor view
BFAAM is described as Angola's largest alternative and fixed-income investment company. Rui Oliveira, its CEO, said: "ANDA has demonstrated resilience, operational discipline and a clear growth trajectory."
Use of funds
Anda plans to expand and modernise its fleet, including electric vehicles. It will also scale logistics infrastructure to serve businesses and institutions nationwide, and develop technology, including AI, to serve customers at scale.
